Intuition Robotics Welcomes New VP R&D, Michael Kupferman, as Part of Management Team Transition

Technology and the pandemic is shifting care from the clinic to the home

We are delighted to welcome Michael Kupferman to our leadership team as our new VP R&D. With over 20 years of experience as an R&D leader and several prominent management roles under his belt, Michael is a natural fit for the role — as well as to our team culture and values.

Michael brings expertise leading and growing top-performing software teams towards scaled production, quality, and predictable performance. We are confident in Michael’s ability to lead our R&D team, improve our development process and workflow, and take our efforts to new heights of productization and quality.

This change is part of internal leadership changes, as two of our company’s Co-Founders, Itai Mendelsohn (who led the R&D team) and Roy Amir (who led our product team) will transition out of their day-to-day roles. We will announce Roy’s replacement later this year.

Roy and Itai have both contributed greatly to building our company from the ground up — from playing a key part in the initial vision, to bringing it to life, while growing the company’s talented team. Itai and Roy will continue to be involved for the next few months to ensure a smooth transition, and will remain shareholders of the company going forward.

As the company continues to grow and mature, we all believe that this change presents an opportunity for us to bring new members, like Michael, to the leadership team that will play an imperative role in the next step of our journey. Leaders that not only bring strong expertise in commercialization, productization, quality, and growth — but also ones experienced in growing, leading, and mentoring the amazing talent we have here in the company.

We look forward to working alongside Michael in this exciting chapter ahead — as well as sharing more updates on our progress in 2021.
